The second photo. was taken by Maurice Johnson, with my camera, whilst I poured oil down the blast pipe and Kevin checked round the bearings. These stops, for lubrication checks, were made every couple of miles en-route Pickering as the loco. was being towed dead with motion still in place
Taken on 5th June 2000 during the loco's move from Grosmont to Pickering for road transport to Carnforth for overhaul.
